  • Use element attributes like valign, cellpadding and width for setting the table dimensions. It reinforces a simple box-model structure.
  • Stay away from using Flash or JavaScript; these technologies are mainly unsupported by the email clients.
  • Stick to absolute links only for images and make sure that you host the images on reliable server. You can also use free image hosting services offered by MailChimp.

Keep your emails as mobile-friendly as possible. Use media queries for increasing text sizes on the small screens and provide thumb-sized hit areas for the links. Your emails should be as responsive as your design provides scope for. Finally, test your email services well before you start sending them.
